One of the most exciting and on-the-edge bands of recent years, The View emerged in late 2006, releasing their debut album, Hats Off To The Buskers in early 07. A whirlwind of destruction and great tunes the View embodied all that is vital about rock n roll. Their debut album sold in excess of 300,000 copies and their notoriety went before them as good old-fashioned hard work saw them out on the road almost constantly throughout late 06 and well into 07.

Decamping to rural Wales in the early summer of 08 with producer Owen Morris (perhaps the only man able to not only channel their schizophrenic ideas & plans but also to simply keep up with them) they set to work on their second album. As yet untitled, the record will perhaps come as a bit of a shock for those expecting a re-run of the 1st albums infectious collection of tracks; still heavy on the joyful rush that made their debut so exciting, the album also weaves its way from rip-roaring heads-down boogie to Tayside sea-shanties via moments of real beauty.
The album will be released in early 2009.
